Greetings fellow Rotarians and guests!
Welcome to the
Rotary E-Club of One World!

In the spirit of Rotary which binds us together to serve above self for the betterment of humanity and the world, let us share the Rotary Four Way Test of the Things we think, say or do; for which in District 5240 (D5240), a fifth has been added:

  1. Is it the TRUTH?
  2. Is it FAIR to all concern?
  3. Will it build GOODWILL and BETTER FRIENDSHIPS?
  4. Will it be BENEFICIAL to all concern?
  5. Is it FUN?
Spread the word that #VaccinesWork

For those of us living in developing countries, the effects of Polio stare us in the face daily and the idea that a drop of vaccine for prevention does a lot more magic than millions of Dollars in spent in treatment is a real sight to behold. The enthusiasm of Rotarians all round the world to help vaccinate children and of course the free man hours and other resources that go into this exercise can only be done well through Rotary. Immunization saves millions of lives every year. Vaccination is one of the most successful and cost-effective health interventions. Yet outbreaks of diseases that vaccines could prevent continue to put children’s health at risk throughout the world. The risk has become more dangerous because of the large level of migration of people due to several factors such as wars, famine and hunger, etc.  Rotary knows firsthand that #VaccinesWork. Rotary and for that matter Rotarians have contributed more than $1.9 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect more than 2.5 billion children from the polio disease.

Take action and help Rotary spread the word about the importance of vaccination during World Immunization Week, 24-30 April.

You can join us in three easy ways
1. Use a purple marker or nail polish to paint your pinkie finger — or your nails. Post your picture on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter using the hashtags #EndPolio
