Greetings fellow Rotarians and guests!
Welcome to the
Rotary E-Club of One World!
This is my last message to you as President of the Rotary E-Club of One World.  What a great Adventure in Service it has been!  I am excited to pass the reigns to PE Amina Sammo after being in the saddle for two years.  We have made excellent progress and growth as an e-club, increasing our membership, improving our web presence, enhancing internal communications via our live Zoom meetings and our new Workplace Intranet.  I look forward to our continued growth.
I want to thank everyone, especially my wife, who has supported me throughout both of my terms (the first one, for which I had planned, and the second one which was definitely unplanned and unanticipated).  I sincerely appreciate the support and help of everyone in the club, but especially my Board members Past President and Executive Secretary, Susan Weaver, President-Elect, Amina "Hajia" Sammo, President Elect Nominee, Ozlem Kocanaogullari, Secretary, Bernadine "Bernie" Janzen, Club Service Director, David Wood, Community Service Director, William "Bill" Boyd, International Service Director, Thokozile "Thoko" Mkwanazi, Vocational Service Director, Kenneth "Ken" Meyer, Foundation Director, Mac “Tug” Whyte, Youth Service Director, Ahmed Habib Ibrahim, Membership Chair, Viktor Cytra, and our “Wizard of the Web” webmaster, Nabil Bedewi.  Each has made contributions that has enabled our club to receive a Bronze Club Award from our District (2016-18), Rotary Presidential Citation (2017-18), EREY recognition (2016-18),100% $26.50 Challenge Club recognition (2016-17), first PeaceBuilder Club in D5240, contributed over $20,000 combined to The Rotary Foundation Annual Fund and PolioPlus, partnered with other Rotary clubs in Global Grant projects, funded the participation of six students from a very disadvantaged High School to attend the District RYLA, sent Solar Lights to Zimbabwe and Nepal and much more!  I hope you all share my pride!
Although I believe we are much further ahead in becoming a long-term and viable e-club, there is still much work to do.  Amina and her Board will face challenges, as do all new club presidents, but if we work together, we can grow and continue Making A Difference and Doing Good in the World.
Thank you all!
My wife and I will be leaving for Canada in a few days for some pre-Convention touring of Quebec City and Montreal before arriving in Toronto for the RI Convention.  We look forward to seeing those of you who will be there!
We are Rotarians "Making A Difference!"
