One of our very own One World Rotarians, Carol Metzker, recently traveled to Seoul for the International Rotary Convention to give a presentation on present-day slavery. Many of you saw her TEDx talk that we featured as a Rotary program several weeks ago. If you missed it, you can find it here. While at the convention, she took a number of photos to share with the rest of us. Thanks Carol!

What draws 42,000 Rotarians to one place at one time?

Many new faces and new friends! Below are two pictures of South Koreans at a parade at the House of Friendship. The House of Friendship is the big "trade show", with various organisations and clubs providing booths showcasing the work that they are doing. It is truly inspiring to see so many amazing projects going on around the world.

There were lots of new projects to learn about, and even some to participate in! How about an indoor ride to end polio?

It was a great opportunity to meet up with old friends:

There was lots of new food to try! Restaurants with traditional dishes, street food at the Dongdaemun Night Market, and a new French fry.

Exploring! There was lots to see, and Rotary had a number of entertainment events going on.

Beautiful Pavilions:

And most importantly, lots of opportunity to learn new things and exchange ideas. Below is Carol's presentation to a packed audience!

Rotarians learn about modern slavery and human trafficking, and that there are ways we can address it:

Thanks Carol for sharing all your pictures with us!
