President's Message

Ken Meyer

President 2020-2021
Greetings fellow Rotarians and guests!
Welcome to the Rotary E-Club of One World!

Dear members, visitors, and future members of Rotary E-Club of One World:

This year each and every member of our club can attend part or all of our District 5240 Conference since it is virtual. The conference is being held on November 6th, 7th, and 8th. With our experience as an e-Club that regularly meets virtually, my hope is that our club will have the highest attendance by percentage of our club members that register and participate.

Our club will have a virtual table at the District 5240 Conference so that we can get the word out about how our club operates and the advantages and fun of being able to be club members no matter where we live in the world. As many are fond of saying, e-clubs are front and center in placing the “international” in Rotary International.

And speaking of placing the “international” in Rotary International, congratulations to our new member Claudine Schooley! On September 12th, she conducted a Zoom Meeting at which there was an official adoption of a new Rotary U.S. / Ukraine Inter-Country Committee. The event was attended by 63 people. RI International was represented; Rotarians from six countries participated, including multiple district governors. While there are 300 ICC’s, this is only the 11th for the United States. Claudine is the chair for the U.S. Committee part of this new ICC.

Claudine will also have a virtual table at the District 5240 Conference related to the formation of the new Rotary U.S. / Ukraine Inter-Country Committee. (Yet, another reason to register for District Conference—so that we can support Claudine in her efforts and stop by her virtual table.)

With all that said, here is information provided by District 5240 Governor, Deb Linden, regarding District Conference (Don’t delay—Register Today!):
